TRU – STEPS TO COME AND IS IT WORTHY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?
TRU was founded in 1970 as a Cariboo College. After its growth and expansion in 1989 where they started offering bachelor’s degrees and turned the college into a university, there has been a rise in students number every year. It is also known as a destination for international students. With increasing demands for TRU, many international students have been trying to find a way to get into it.
YAY entertainment has tried to resolve this issue by interviewing students from TRU and further we will let you know is it worth spending such a big amount on TRU. There are some simple basic steps to be followed by every single student. While interviewing one of the students of the TRU BBA course, Dhwani Gupta mentioned the steps as follows:
Step 1: Give the English language proficiency test.
Step 2: Apply to the university (application costs $100 non-refundable for the application form)
Step 3: If selected, pay the tuitions before the deadline to confirm the seats.
Step 4: Apply for the visa at immigration and with the help of someone who knows about this procedure.
Step 5: Wait for the approval.
How easy it is when it comes to the application process and the steps to apply for TRU. Yes, it does require patience, effort, and a lot of time. The question here for the international students that arises is it worth spending such a huge amount and time?? The answer is Yes, and it is absolutely an amazing place to go while you are far from your home country. TRU has provided all the opportunities to students to make them feel that they are not far from their home. There is a diverse group of society at TRU and people are kind and respectful to each other.
The benefits of coming to TRU are the way Thompson Rivers University is built keeping in mind each detailed need of every individual from various countries, various cultures, and various religions. There is ample space for students to study, a variety of food served, canteen services, advising help, co-op opportunities, career and experimental learning, also spiritual development activities.
As said by the student of TRU, Mahi Patel while interviewing her was, “TRU is a place where we develop ourselves mentally and was as spiritually. We learn to be given our best as students which up brings us a potential Youth.” TRU clubs and committees provide involvement and fun activities for students such as movie night, bingo night, literature writing, and many more.Isn’t it fun hearing so many things about TRU? But all the good parts come with certain bad parts too. International tuition fees increase every year and this year it is increased by 4.7%. Before coming to a new country, it is the responsibility of every student to have background information about the university which you are stepping into, and here were all the details required for any international student to come to Tru.

- Conclusion: The conclusion gives one negative point about TRU but then asks the the reader to decide by themself before taking such big steps.
- Where are photos going to be placed? There are 4 photos in the assignment. a. One is placed as a background image for introduction paragraph b. Second is an interview with student about the proceduces of coming in TRU for international students is placed at 1st paragraph. c. Third is placed with the flags to show diversity and every culture is respected is placed in paragraph 3 d. Fourth is an interview with an international student about how she feels at TRU far from home and is placed at conclusion.
